It may not look pretty in the pot, but this amazing, yet simple recipe will help to keep you fighting fit throughout those chilly months. Not only does it naturally boost your immune system it can also help to heal skin conditions and illnesses.

The science behind the food:
Bone broth contains many valuable minerals in a form your body can easily absorb, these include magnesium, calcium, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur chondroitin and glucosamine.
The amino acids like arginine contained in bone broth fights the infection caused by cold and flu viruses and helps to bring down inflammation.
The gelatin found in bone broth is a hydrophilic colloid. It attracts and holds liquids, including digestive juices, thereby supporting proper digestion.

Remove bones and add all roughly chopped veg to bone broth.

Add herbs and spices to your taste. I add a lot of rosemary to my broth as it reminds me of roast potatoes at Christmas!

Gently boil all ingredients for 1 hour or until all vegetables have softened.

The broth is ready to serve. Add cooked chicken or any meat or vegetarian replacement for a protein hit.

This will keep refrigerated for up to 4 days.

It is also an option to make the bone broth with no added ingredients and drink daily for a natural boost to your immune system.

Much Love and Health,
Kelly Sephton
