These cute little low sugar, high protein snacks are perfect for the festive season. Or indeed change the decoration for a healthier alternative to a sweet treat any time of the year!

Ingredients:
30ml unsweetened almond milk
25g chocolate or vanilla flavoured USN whey or vegetarian protein
35g peanut or almond butter (reduced sugar)
25g gluten free or regular oats
15g sultanas
5g chopped mixed nuts
2tsps ground almonds
100g 80/90% dark chocolate
White, red and green icing for decoration
Edible glitter for decoration

Method:

Mix the almond milk and protein powder in a bowl.

Mix in the remaining ingredients except for the ground almonds.

Sprinkle the ground almonds onto a plate. Form the mixture into balls and roll them in the almonds coating them evenly.

Melt the dark chocolate and dip the balls in until fully covered.

Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and allow to set in the fridge for 15-20 minutes.

Decorate with the coloured icing and edible glitter!

Will keep for 3-4 days when stored in an airtight container and refridgerated.
